Dengue Prevention Task Force Drive in Banani: Larvae Detection and Administrative Fines

A national task force led by State Minister Mir Shahe Alam and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) officials conducted an anti-dengue operation in Banani, Dhaka, on June 26, 2026. A construction site on Road 24 was fined 50,000 BDT for finding Aedes mosquito larvae. Officials reported that 50% of the premises inspected in the area over the past three days contained larvae. The operation is part of an ongoing three-month initiative to curb the spread of dengue, and also included awareness efforts such as the distribution of leaflets and stickers.
