Heavy upstream rainfall in India has caused water levels in the Teesta, Dharla, and Dudhkumar rivers to rise. As of July 22, the Teesta water level at Dalia point reached 1 cm below the danger mark. Floodwaters have entered low-lying areas in Lalmonirhat's Hatibandha, Aditmari, and Sadar upazilas, with 5 districts—Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur, Gaibandha, and Kurigram—at continued risk of inundation.
