BFSA Conducts Food Safety Operation at Dhaka's Shah Ali Market: Destruction of Contaminated Food

On July 28, 2026, the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) conducted a food safety operation at Shah Ali Kancha Bazar in Mirpur-1, Dhaka. During the inspection, 40kg of jelly-injected shrimp and diseased goat liver were seized and destroyed. Additionally, red lights were removed from meat shops, and business owners were instructed to display price lists within 30 days to correct retail discrepancies.
