BNP Leader Shahidul Islam Dies in Road Accident in Shibchar, Madaripur
Md. Shahidul Islam Shahid (60), a member of the Shibchar Upazila BNP convener committee and former chairman of Bashkandi Union Parishad, died after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing the road near College Mor in Shibchar municipality on Thursday evening. He was pronounced dead at the Shibchar Upazila Health Complex. The police have seized the motorcycle, and an investigation to identify the driver who fled the scene is underway.
