On the evening of Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at approximately 6:15 PM, two political leaders, Abdul Kader Jilani and Masum Billah, died on the spot after their motorcycle collided with a Narayanganj City Corporation waste truck and was crushed in the Jalkuri Dashpipe and Jhutpatti area, Ward 9, Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. Following the incident, on July 13, 2026, the Narayanganj City Corporation provided 20 lakh BDT in financial aid to the families and secured employment for two family members within the city corporation.
