Failed sluice gates in Rajnagar cause agricultural crisis

Two sluice gates constructed in Rajnagar, Moulvibazar have remained dysfunctional since being damaged by flash floods in May 2016. Due to poor construction and lack of maintenance, farmers are forced to build temporary earthen dams annually, affecting agricultural production on approximately 3,000 acres.
