Tragic death of Mariyam Begum (45) hit by a moving train at Bhairab Railway Station

On the night of August 8, 2026, 45-year-old Mariyam Begum died after being struck by the Dhaka-bound Titas Commuter train at Platform 2 of Bhairab Railway Station while waiting for a different train. She sustained severe injuries, including an amputation of one leg and excessive bleeding, and succumbed to her injuries at the Upazila Health Complex at 11:00 PM.
