Child drowns in pond while visiting grandparents' home during Eid in Haimchar

A six-year-old child named Ayesha Akter drowned in a pond in Algi Durgapur North Union, Haimchar, Chandpur on the morning of May 30, 2026. She was visiting her maternal grandparents' home during the Eid holidays when the incident occurred, and she was declared dead upon arrival at the Haimchar Upazila Health Complex.
