Ongoing severe riverbank erosion and displacement across Munshiganj

Severe erosion of the Padma, Meghna, Dhaleshwari, and Ichamati rivers has caused over 50 square kilometers of land to disappear in Munshiganj district. Approximately 20,000 families have been displaced, and 1.5 billion BDT worth of assets, including markets and historic sites, have been destroyed.
