Protest by residents of seven villages for protection against Meghna riverbank erosion in Barishal

Thousands of people from seven villages in Hizla, Barishal, organized a protest demanding the construction of a permanent embankment to prevent continuous Meghna riverbank erosion. The erosion, exacerbated by illegal soil extraction for brick kilns, has caused thousands of families to lose their homes and live in dire conditions.
