Flood situation worsens in northern region, over 1 million people stranded

Severe flooding in northern Bangladesh has left over 1 million people stranded. Ongoing heavy rainfall due to active monsoon winds is expected to exacerbate the situation in the Teesta, Dharla, and Dudhkumar river basins over the next 48 hours.
