Severe crop submergence in Sunamganj haor regions

Heavy rainfall and waterlogging in the haor areas of Sunamganj, specifically Shalla, Shantiganj, and Sadar upazilas, have resulted in widespread submergence of Boro rice crops. This event caused approximately 1.5 billion BDT in rice losses and 2 billion BDT in livestock fodder, directly affecting over 20,250 farmers and causing significant economic distress during the Eid-ul-Adha period.
