Road accident leading to double leg amputation and subsequent humanitarian support

On December 6, 2023, an auto-rickshaw carrying Md. Sirajul Islam collided with a military jeep on the Amtali-Patuakhali regional highway, resulting in the amputation of Sirajul's legs and severe injuries to five others. The Jahanara Latif Molla Foundation later provided him with a grocery shop for rehabilitation on May 24, 2026.
