Factory worker killed by speeding truck in chain-reaction accident in Feni

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, a speeding covered van struck a pedestrian and collided with several vehicles waiting at a CNG filling station on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in the Muhuriganj area of Chhagalnaiya, Feni. The incident resulted in the death of a 35-year-old factory worker named Jewel Das and injuries to a microbus driver, Saiful Islam. Victims were transported to the Feni 250-bed General Hospital.
