Construction ongoing with electric poles remaining in the middle of the road

Construction of a four-lane expansion project on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway in Lohagara's Chunti Jangalia area is underway while approximately 10 electric poles and a billboard remain in the middle of the road, creating a severe safety hazard. The location is known as an accident-prone zone, with 74 deaths reported in the past year, and local residents have criticized the lack of planning and safety coordination between the road department and the electricity authority.
