Wooden Bridge Collapse in Dimla, Nilphamari: MP Safely Escapes, Several Injured

A dilapidated wooden bridge over the Nautara river in Notabari village, Dimla, Nilphamari, collapsed on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, while local Member of Parliament Abdus Sattar and his associates were inspecting it. The collapse, caused by overcrowding on the weakened structure, resulted in several people falling into the riverbank area and sustaining minor injuries. The MP remained unhurt, and those injured were rescued.
