Sand extraction from riverbank erosion site in Gaibandha

Residents in Munshipara and Patnipara of Sadullapur, Gaibandha, are concerned about riverbank protection projects involving illegal sand extraction directly from the riverbed where erosion is occurring. The project is further criticized for the use of low-quality geo-bags, which poses a risk of further instability to the Ghaghat riverbank.
