Severe Riverbank Erosion in Sherpur, Bogura

Riverbank erosion along the Bangali and Karatoya rivers in Sherpur, Bogura, caused by heavy rainfall and uphill runoff, has led to widespread destruction of homes and agricultural land. At least 14 points across Khanpur, Sughat, Simabari, Khamarkandi, Garidaha, and Mirjapur unions are suffering, threatening homesteads, schools, and mosques.
