Two elderly women left homeless after Sangu River flood in Bandarban

Two elderly women, Painuching Marma and Gita Barua, from Ujanipara in Bandarban, were left homeless after the Sangu River flooded and destroyed their homes in early July 2026. The victims took refuge in a local primary school, but with the flood waters receding, they face an uncertain future as they lack the financial means to rebuild.
