Massive fire in a shoe factory at Borobazar, Netrokona, controlled after extensive effort

A major fire broke out at the 'Arif Shoes' factory in the Kaparpotti area of Boro Bazar, Netrokona, on the night of August 7, 2026. The fire spread to at least 25 nearby shops, including Majumdar Electronics and Bhuiyan Plaza, and affected adjacent residential areas in two multi-story buildings. A total of 8 individuals, including 3 fire service personnel, were injured during the incident. The fire was brought under control by 10 fire service units after approximately two hours.
