Teacher killed in train accident while talking on mobile phone in Jashore

On the evening of July 17, 2026, a 22-year-old teacher named Hossain Ahmed was struck and killed by the Khulna-bound Mahananda Express train in Mashorhati, Abhaynagar, Jashore, while he was walking along the railway tracks and talking on his mobile phone. He was declared dead upon arrival at the Abhaynagar Upazila Health Complex.
