Attempted border push-in of 28 individuals at Bangabari border, Gomastapur, Chapainawabganj and subsequent return by BSF

On June 3, 2026, Indian BSF pushed 28 people (12 men, 10 women, 6 children) into the Bangabari border area of Gomastapur, Chapainawabganj. The group remained stranded in no-man's-land for three days under harsh weather. The crisis was resolved following BGB intervention and successful flag meetings, leading BSF to take the individuals back on June 6, 2026.
