Youth dies from snakebite after performing as 'Snake Goddess' and failed superstitious rituals in Nilphamari

Bijoy Chandra (also known as Bijoy Ray, 20) died after being bitten by a snake while performing the character of 'Snake Goddess' Padma and showing it to an audience at a Mansa song stage in Borovita Union, Kishoreganj, Nilphamari. Despite medical care, the family attempted to revive him using occult rituals for two hours at his home in Jura-bandha Malipara village following the incident.
