Financial compensation for families of victims of Sadarghat launch accident

The Ministry of Shipping provided 5 lakh BDT in compensation to the families of Sohel and Miraj, who died in a launch accident at Sadarghat during the last Eid-ul-Fitr. The compensation was handed over by the State Minister for Shipping in Mehendiganj, Barishal, on June 13, 2026, with a promise of further financial assistance of 25 lakh BDT.
