People of Kazipur in fear of Jamuna riverbank erosion

The residents of Kazipur in Sirajganj are facing severe threats from ongoing riverbank erosion of the Jamuna River, exacerbated by upstream hill runoff and heavy rains. Numerous homesteads, educational institutions, and vast tracts of croplands have been lost to the river, leaving many families landless and destitute.
