Father drowns while saving daughter in Mithamoin, Kishoreganj
Md. Bashir Uddin Milon, a 42-year-old physiotherapist, drowned in the Mithamoin haor area near Hasanpur Bridge in Kishoreganj on July 24, 2026. He successfully rescued his 8-year-old daughter, Shemanti Akter, from strong currents, but was swept away himself. Local residents recovered his body after approximately one hour.
