Md. Shamim (30) drowned in the Kutubdia Channel after falling while boarding a boat at Magnama Ghat in Pekua, Cox's Bazar, on the afternoon of September 5, 2026. His body was recovered on the morning of September 6, 2026, after an intensive 18-hour search operation conducted by Navy, Coast Guard, and Fire Service divers.
