A boat carrying goods worth approximately 1.5 crore BDT capsized in the Titas River at Akhaura, Brahmanbaria, on the morning of September 7, 2026. The incident occurred due to strong currents and a collision with another boat while attempting to reach Borobazar Ghat. No casualties were reported.
