Bridge with bamboo reinforcement in Agailjhara demolished by administration

A 45-foot bridge in Barpika village, Ratnapur Union, Agailjhara, Barishal, was found to be constructed using bamboo instead of iron rods and without proper approval. Local UP member Sohel Mollah is accused of financial irregularities. Following investigation, the Upazila administration demolished the hazardous structure on June 29, 2026, to prevent accidents.
