Newborn infant found abandoned by roadside jungle in Basail, Tangail

A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a forest area near Biyala Madrasa in Basail, Tangail, on the afternoon of July 9, 2026. Local residents discovered the infant after hearing her cries and transported her to the Basail Upazila Health Complex, from where she was transferred to the Tangail General Hospital for specialized care due to head injuries and insect bites.
