Pregnant tea worker dies after alleged medical neglect, workers stage protest

Riya Begum, a pregnant tea worker at Deorachhara Tea Garden in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar, died in a Sylhet hospital following an alleged denial of medical support by the garden management. In response to the death, tea workers initiated a protest and work stoppage on Thursday morning to demand accountability.
