Embankment breach of Manu River causes flash floods in Kulaura border area

Heavy rainfall and hilly runoff from India caused an embankment breach of the Manu River in Shikaria village, Prithimpasha Union, Kulaura, Moulvibazar, on the night of July 8, 2026. The incident has flooded several villages including Rajapur, submerging agricultural lands, roads, and culverts, leaving over 100 families stranded.
