MP cleans canal to resolve long-standing waterlogging in Tarakanda, Mymensingh

MP Muhammadullah and local residents cleaned water hyacinths from the Panguyai canal in Tarakanda, Mymensingh, on August 26, 2026, to resolve an eight-year-long waterlogging issue. The blockage, caused by land encroachment, left 2,000 families and vast amounts of farmland in nine villages affected. The MP further pledged to resolve legal obstructions at the end of the canal to restore water flow.
