4 shops burned down in Chandanaish, losses estimated at 1.5 million Taka

A fire broke out in the Batajuri Jatormukh area of Barma Union, Chandanaish Upazila, on June 17, 2026, at 4:00 AM. The fire destroyed four shops, including a grocery store, a tea stall, a salon, and a raw goods store, resulting in financial losses estimated between 1.2 to 1.5 million Taka. Fire Service and Civil Defence units successfully brought the situation under control within one hour.
