A Bailey bridge in Dhobaura, Mymensingh, collapsed over the Kangsha River early Sunday, June 7, 2026, when a sand-laden truck attempted to cross it. The incident, attributed to heavy vehicle traffic on an old structure, left the truck's helper injured and completely severed road communication between Dhobaura and Mymensingh city. Local administration has since built a temporary wooden bridge to restore light transport.
District or Upazila level government authorities
Upazila Engineer, UNO, and District Council Administrator inspected the site and initiated repair/temporary wooden bridge construction.
