Bridge cracked one hour after opening in Hatibandha, Lalmonirhat

A newly constructed bridge in the Vhelaguri Boarderhat area of Hatibandha, Lalmonirhat, developed severe cracks within one hour of its opening on Saturday afternoon. The incident, linked to allegations of corruption and the use of substandard construction materials by the contractor, prompted investigations by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).
