Arson attack on portable X-ray machine at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital

An unidentified person entered the 31st ward of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on January 28, 2026, and set fire to a portable X-ray machine, rendering it completely inoperable. The incident caused approximately 20 lakh BDT in damages and left the hospital without a functioning portable X-ray machine for eight months, forcing patients to seek expensive private alternatives.
