Insurance branch manager killed in road accident in Mirsharai

On August 21, 2026, Manzur Alam (52), a branch manager of Sandhani Life Insurance, was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at the Mithachara U-turn in Mirsharai, Chattogram. He was struck by a speeding covered van while riding his motorcycle and later succumbed to his injuries at Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital. Police seized the vehicle and detained the driver, Md. Solaiman.
