Severe waterlogging in Chattogram city due to continuous heavy rainfall

Continuous heavy rainfall from Saturday night to Sunday morning, July 12, 2026, caused severe waterlogging across several areas of Chattogram, including Catalganj, Panchlaish, Muradpur, and Agrabad. Nearly 129 mm of rain fell from Saturday evening to Sunday morning, followed by 41 mm between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM on Sunday, causing roads to submerge, disrupting traffic, and trapping residents.
