Widespread crop damage and infrastructure destruction due to Nor'wester in Bhanga

A severe Nor'wester (Kalbaishakhi) struck Bhanga, Faridpur, on the morning of May 27, 2026, lasting for two and a half hours. The storm caused significant damage to paddy and jute crops, destroyed one residential house in Algi Union, and disrupted electricity supply after poles collapsed in Gharua Union.
