On Thursday, May 28, 2026, 55-year-old Abdus Sattar Howlader died after falling from the open door or engine cover of a moving 'Prochesta' transport bus near the Padma Bridge in the Shikdarkandi/Naoduba area of Shibchar, Madaripur. The accident occurred when the driver applied sudden hard brakes, causing the passenger to lose control, fall, and be crushed by the bus's rear wheels. Shibchar Highway Police recovered the body and initiated necessary legal procedures.
