Patient dies at Barisal Medical College Hospital after oxygen tube removal by employee

At Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, a 45-year-old patient named Dipali Rani Sikdar died after a hospital employee (a trolley-man) allegedly removed her oxygen support. Reports suggest the removal was to provide equipment to another patient for a bribe or due to equipment shortages. The incident led to a physical altercation between the family and staff, and subsequently, a three-member investigation committee was formed, and the accused employee was suspended.
