Riverbank erosion destroys 400 homes in Rangpur division

Severe riverbank erosion along the Brahmaputra, Dharla, Dudhkumar, and Teesta rivers has destroyed at least 400 homes and 50 acres of agricultural land across the Rangpur division over the past 30 days. Local residents have protested against the Water Development Board for failing to implement effective erosion control measures and are demanding sustainable river management solutions.
