Heavy Rainfall and Waterlogging Damage Crops in Gouripur

Persistent heavy rainfall, compounded by filled-up canals and unplanned pond excavations, has caused severe waterlogging in Gouripur, Mymensingh. The incident has resulted in significant damage to 550 hectares of Boro paddy and 50 hectares of vegetables, affecting 5,100 farmers with total economic losses exceeding 80 million BDT.
