Three Furniture Factories Destroyed by Fire in Rangamati

On August 3, 2026, a massive fire broke out in Gathachara, Mainimukh, Langadu, Rangamati, destroying three furniture factories and two houses. The fire, suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit, resulted in approximately 2 crore BDT in economic damages. No human casualties were reported, but the business owners lost their entire livelihoods.
