A 240-foot-long drain under construction at Ukhia Sadar Bazar in Cox's Bazar collapsed partially after 30 minutes of rain. Locals alleged that the use of substandard materials, such as low-quality bricks, cement, and sand without reinforcement, led to the collapse. The project, funded by the Roads and Highways Department, is being executed by contractor Hasan Enterprise.
