Heavy rainfall and flash floods from Meghalaya impacted Nalitabari, Jhenaigati, and Sreebardi upazilas in Sherpur. Four rounds of flash floods in the Bogai, Chellakhali, Maharshi, and Someshwari rivers caused severe damage, including the collapse of a 120-foot Bailey bridge in South Sannashibita Nayapara. Over 200 families were initially trapped, and hundreds of acres of farmland were buried under sand deposits. Infrastructure, including roads and local markets, were damaged, and residents face ongoing concerns regarding broken embankments.
