13-crore BDT bridge remains unusable for five years, forcing residents to use ladders

A 90-meter long bridge built over the Eidgaon Canal at a cost of approximately 13 crore BDT in the Gazalia area, Cox's Bazar, remains unusable five years after construction due to the absence of connecting roads. Over a lakh of people from three unions—Eidgah, Baishari, and Gorjonia—are forced to climb the bridge using makeshift wooden ladders, posing severe daily safety risks for students and patients.
