Closure of Camellia Duncan Foundation Hospital causing medical crisis for tea workers

The Camellia Duncan Foundation Hospital in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar, has been closed since March 27, 2026, following a protest sparked by the death of a student, Oishi Rabidas. The closure has deprived over one hundred thousand tea workers from 36 gardens of essential healthcare, leading to the reported deaths of three additional workers due to lack of treatment.
