Expired Government Relief Food Distributed in Melandah, Jamalpur

Approximately 90 vulnerable individuals in Melandah Upazila, Jamalpur, received government relief kits containing expired or nearly-expired food items on September 2 and 6, 2026. Beneficiaries reported that food items such as salt, sugar, and spices were clumped, damaged, or past their expiry dates, posing significant health risks and raising concerns about official storage and distribution management.
